Update For Volume 4 - Many Glacier Routes

The NPS has placed seasonal closures on two routes featured in Volume 4. Check for closures on routes to Altyn Peak and Mount Henkel.

Check in with the Many Glacier Ranger Station to get all of the details about status of current closures.

During that closure you can access these summits from the following peaks or locations. They have restricted access due to presence of grizzlies in that area and we have frequently seen them in that area.

Altyn Peak can to be accessed via the Natahki Lake Basin above Apikuni Falls on the Apikuni Mountain route.

Mount Henkel can be accessed from either Apikuni Mountain or from Crowfeet Mountain.
